SUMMARY:Extraction\, what now? | Preservation-oriented decision making after tooth removal with Snjezana Pohl
DESCRIPTION:Extraction\, what now? | Preservation-oriented decision making after tooth removal with Snjezana Pohl\n9 liepos\n@\n9:00\n–\n10 liepos\n@\n19:00 \nABOUT THE COURSE\nThe core philosophy of this course is PRESERVATION – preserving ridge dimensions\, preserving tissues\, and preserving future treatment options. Every extraction initiates biological changes\, and the clinician’s decisions at this moment largely determine whether the site remains predictable or becomes compromised. This course focuses on what to do immediately after extraction\, based on socket morphology\, risk assessment\, and long-term implant planning. \nTHEORETICAL PART\n\nRidge dimensional changes following tooth extraction\nPost-extraction socket: to graft or not to graft?\nGraft materials: indications\, limitations\, and material selection\nFlap vs. flapless approaches — biological and clinical consequences\nDecision criteria: intact socket vs. compromised socket\nIntact socket treatment strategies\nImmediate\, early\, or delayed implant placement\nRisk assessment\, including aesthetic risk assessment in the aesthetic zone\nImmediately placed implants\nPartial Extraction Therapy (PET)\n\nBiological background and literature\nRoot submergence therapy\nSocket shield: indications\, preparation\, and execution\n\n\nCompromised socket treatment strategies\nmIVAN technique\npost-ex implant\nComposite tuberosity bone graft\nComplications and complication management\n\n \nSoft tissue management is addressed as part of preservation and stability\, not as a standalone topic. In post-extraction therapy\, hard-tissue preservation without soft-tissue control is biologically incomplete. \n\n\n\nHANDS-ON SESSION\nSocket Type 1 – Preservation \n\nSocket preservation with particulate graft and membrane\nConnective tissue graft in a double-pouch technique (subepithelial CTG harvesting)\n\nCompromised Socket \n\nComposite tuberosity bone graft\nmIVAN technique (Pedicled palatal connective tissue graft harvesting)\npost-ex implant with grafting\n\nPartial Extraction Therapy \n\nRoot submergence therapy\nSocket shield preparation\nImmediate post-extraction implant placement with socket shield\n\n\n \nSnjezana Pohl began her professional journey in human medicine in Zagreb before continuing her education in dentistry in Germany\, where she trained at LMU Munich while raising a young family. A defining moment in her career came during her oral surgery residency and later through advanced soft tissue training\, which shaped her preservation-oriented\, periodontally driven approach to treatment. With over 25 years of clinical experience\, she has performed extensive surgical work in the aesthetic zone\, published original techniques in peer-reviewed journals\, and educated dentists worldwide. Today\, she focuses on diagnosis\, surgical planning\, advanced clinical procedures\, and mentoring the next generation of clinicians through education. \nINFORMATION FOR REGISTRATION \nA two-day intensive course. \nCourse Fee: 2050 EUR. Advance payment – 100 EUR. We will understand the 2 and 3 point’s occlusion; we will get to know the occlusal compass and its importance. \nHelping with this knowledge we will get a complex picture of the context between shape and function. In the practical part\, the occlusal surface of the lower and upper molars (4; 5; 6) is patterned from plasticine. \nThe benefit of these 3 days will be not only nicer molars but better function. We will be able to grind the occlusal surface of the restorations faster and more effectively in accordance with the criteria of function and gnathology. \nAcquisition of this knowledge can be helped by the processes of the removable and the orthodontics. \nLanguage: English \nAUGUST 27-29 Marathon of Dental Anatomy: anteriors \nCourse objectives: the thorough knowledge of the basic and “hidden” shape features of the upper and lower anterior. \nCourse overview: We examine and analyze in detail the front teeth morphology and characteristics of the different types of teeth. \nIn the practical part\, we modellating the labial surface of an oval\, triangular\, rectangular\, and standard-shaped central incisor\, lateral incisor\, and canine from plasticine (clay)\, as well as the palatal surface of the three anterior teeth. \nWe discuss the key features of the lower anterior teeth and correct the mistakes on the lower 1\,2\,3 teeth which I was damagded by deliberately. We will talk about the features of a harmonious smile and smile design. \nAnother practical task is possible\, where we correct the defects of the upper 1\,2\,3 teeth on an oval-type anterior tooth pattern\, and then convert them into triangular and rectangular-type anterior teeth by carving. \nThe course has two more drawing practices\, which should help to improve conscious analysis and accurate observation. \nLanguage: English \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS: \nEarly Bird | ANATOMY MARATHON: POSTERIOR TEETH (08.24–26)Early Bird €1300 | Reserve your spot by paying €100\, the remaining amount is due by 07.01Regular €1400 | From 03.01 – full price €1400\, full payment required. \nEarly Bird | ANATOMY MARATHON: ANTERIOR TEETH (08.27–29)Early Bird €1300 | Reserve your spot by paying €100\, the remaining amount is due by 07.01Regular €1400 | From 03.01 – full price €1400\, full payment required. \nEarly Bird tickets available until MARCH 1.  \nVENUE: BAED training center\, Smolensko g. 6\, Vilnius.  \n\n	Notice: JavaScript is required for this content.
